Kinetic watches work using a rechargeable cell (capacitor) which is powered by a rotor. This rotor will turn as your wrist moves during day to day activity. You should achieve approximately 72 hours minimum from a fully charged capacitor if your watch is not worn. So, in theory, if you wear your kinetic watch at least once every 3 days for 8 hours it should never stop. However, other conditions such as heat can affect your capacitor. Your kinetic watch should not be exposed to temperatures above 25 degrees as this has been proven to deteriorate the capacitor. This may be difficult to maintain since when your watch is on your wrist normal temperatures from your body heat will be around 23 degrees. Capacitors should not drop charge to below 40% as this also has an adverse effect on longevity of the capacitor.
